5 WEEK CORPORATE TRIATHLON

TEAM TRAINING PROGRAM

 

Build a Competitive Edge over the field to conquer the 400m swim, 10km ride and 4km run, as a team!

 

5 Run sessions

5 Ride sessions &

5 Swimming session (pool and open water) 

Over 5 weeks

 

 HOW IT WORKS FOR YOU AND YOUR TEAM

 

Whether you are doing a single leg of the event or training for each  event leg, sessions will be periodized over the 5 week to improve your fitness, endurance, speed and mental toughness to complete the course feeling great and hitting personal bests

 

  • Session 1 will be an indoor bike session where we discover your current fitness levels and create a zone training profile to suit each individual rider. These training zones will be the foundation of each indoor bike session and will increase in intensity of the 5 weeks of training relative to your improved fitness levels.

 

  • Session 2 will be an outdoor run session with focus on technique, running drills as well as incorporating some running intervals to prepare you for the next 4 weeks of fitness building. 

 

  • Session 3 will be the first indoor/ pool swimming session. Again we will discuss form and function, breathing rate and stroke technique. We will use freestyle as the only stroke for our training. Great technique will improve your swimming speed  and efficiency 

 

  • For those who are concerned about open water swimming, these pool sessions are a great way of building confidence so you can complete the 400m event swim with ease.

 

All following weeks will build on each of these modalities one at a time, progressively increasing the work efforts and outputs but staying within your limits as your improvements show.

 

  • All sessions are safe, effective and efficient, between 30 – 60  minutes.

 

  • We use our resident sports scientist to oversee structures and  all programming

 

Each athlete will expect 5-10% improvement across the 3 modalities
